The studio
A brick is the smallest honest decision in a building. One unit, one dimension, no argument about what it is. We named the studio after it because that is the order we work in: decide the material, then the room, then the drawing.
In practice it means you see a real palette early, on a real plan of your own flat, in more than one direction. It is a slower first week and a much shorter argument in week six.
You should be able to point at any surface in your home and know why it is that one.
